Plays with great technique from snap to whistle. Quick feet and strong hands gives him great releases against press coverage, especially on inside releases. Great play strength at the top of routes to create separation using his size and power. Exceptional catch radius with his 6’4” frame and has fantastic body control on the boundary and to adjust to inaccurate balls whenever necessary. Natural catcher of the football who is also good in contested catch situations due to his length and strong hands. Big body, strength, and speed are his tools that he uses after the catch to power through poor tackling attempts by defensive backs once he has the ball in his hands. Uses that body to run block corners with effort and consistent success.
Biggest question and knock is going to be on his long speed to be a consistent downfield threat on the boundary. Very limited routes run at Clemson, but that seems like a scheme created deficiency more than a talent created one. Routes were particularly limited in the intermediate area, pretty much only running comebacks or curls in that area of the field.

Silky smooth technician who makes playing the position look easy from a technical standpoint. Great athlete for his size with his only question being long speed to threaten and win in the deep portions of the field without having to rely on his contested catch ability. Would project best to being an X receiver in the league due to his size and skills at the line of scrimmage. Can come in and play a significant role in an offense day 1.
Las Vegas Raiders: Las Vegas needs WR talent. They thought they had helped that area of their team by acquiring Antonio Brown in the offseason, but Mr. Big Chest arrived and they quickly realized their mistake. Tyrell Williams, Zay Jones, and Hunter Renfroe are simply just not going to get it done. Go get a playmaker in Higgins and he can be the foundation of your WR corps into the Las Vegas era.
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen needs weapons. The Bills have two wide receivers over 6 foot tall. Who are those receivers you ask? Robert Foster and Duke Williams. So we’ve not only established that the Bills need WR help, but they also need size on the boundary to compliment John Brown’s skills. Boy do I have a solution for you, Bills Mafia. If you don’t like that solution please don’t put me through a table. I’m a Bengals fan, please remember 4th and 12.
New Orleans Saints: Sensing the theme with these team fits? The Saints desperately need WR help, Thomas can’t do it all by himself. Alvin Kamara had 25 more catches than Saints WR not named Michael Thomas combined (81-56) AND HE MISSED 2 GAMES! I wouldn’t be surprised if Higgins exceeded 56 catches his rookie year if he landed here, but to be honest the bar is set pretty low here.
