Jalen Reagor is as elite an athlete as they come. He’s not just fast, he’s quick, he’s strong, he’s got a great vertical. More than just an athlete though, Reagor is one of the best route-runners in college football. Despite his “short” stature, he has the ability to go up top and win jump balls with most corners. An underrated feature of Reagor’s game is his willingness to be active in the blocking game, whether it’s on run or passing plays. Whenever Reagor touches the ball, he’s a threat to go all the way. A special teams contributor, a runner, and a receiver.
The biggest knock that I, or anyone else, could have on Jalen Reagor is how consistent his hands are. When he looks the ball in, he rarely drops it, but in typical Odell Beckham Jr. fashion, he often takes his eyes off the ball to run before securing the catch and that leads to drops. Scheme and poor quarterback play has greatly limited his college production.
Games watched: 2019 Baylor, 2019 Oklahoma State, 2019 Purdue
Despite a horrible scheme and poor quarterback play, Reagor has consistently popped on film. A nearly complete receiver, if Reagor can clean up his drops even a little bit, I’d look at him as a first-round pick. Combine drills will be more important for him than anything, although athletic testing should be fun too, since it’s been reported he runs in the 4.2s.
Best Fits: New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos
