Name: Darius Anderson - Position: RB

Anderson is a superior athlete out of the backfield, he’s nicknamed “Jet” for a reason. Jet has excellent vision, cutback ability, and burst to hit the holes opened up for him. Out of the backfield, Anderson has soft hands and run after the catch ability. Contact balance is a plus in his game. Anderson offers value as a return man/special teams contributor.
The most glaring weaknesses in Anderson’s game are all things that could be easily fixed with NFL coaching, which helps him significantly in my report. Anderson sometimes carries the ball out wide in a LeSean McCoy-esque way, but not as egregious. Jet also lacks blocking ability, both in pass protection and when blocking for a ball carrier. When in the backfield, he has a tendency to dance around a little too much instead of just cutting upfield.
Games watched: 2019 Purdue, 2019 Baylor, 2019 Oklahoma State
I’d expect Darius Anderson to go late day two or early day three but to be able to step in and contribute immediately for an NFL team. He likely won’t be used as a passing-down back early in his NFL career given his poor pass protecting skills, but he’s still a talented runner and receiver that should find his way onto the field early.
Best Fits: Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals
