Lamb is absolutely lethal once he gets the ball in his hands. Tremendous instincts/vision and can run through or around you equally well. Versatile player who lined up in the slot and on the outside for the Sooners. Sees the ball very well in the air and makes some just plain stupid adjustments to make catches. Due to scheme, didn’t have to high point the ball often, but showed the ability to do it without much trouble.

Given Oklahoma’s scheme, Lamb’s routes didn’t have to be incredibly precise, which he took advantage of. Rounds off almost every route; wasted motion will need to be trimmed and breaks will need to be sharper to consistently succeed against press man in the NFL. Like his blocking when the effort is there, but struggles to sustain them. Won’t be mistaken as a true burner, I’d much rather get him the ball in space underneath and let him work.

Lamb has been one of my favorite players in college football for a full year now. With insane athletic gifts and a hot-running motor, the Louisiana native is an open-field nightmare. I love the idea of putting him primarily in the slot for his first couple seasons while his ability to release against press man comes along. If he’s mostly on the boundaries, he’ll need to run crisper routes and make use of his incredible skills with the ball in the air to be successful. The former Sooner should be an electric playmaker right away in the NFL, with a good chance to become one of the best receivers in the league by year 3 or 4.

Best Fits: Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos
