Fluid hips. Great change of direction ability.
Good acceleration. Good athlete all around.
Good tackler, but needs to work on tackling lower and wrapping up.
Good block shedder. Works through the second level well.
Bit of a wild man. Too reactive in coverage and does not seem to have much of a plan.
Decent pass defender, but needs to work on his ball skills and general awareness.

Brian Asamoah played linebacker for the Sooners. He is an athletic linebacker who has great acceleration and change of direction ability and average sideline to sideline speed. He provides value in the run game, pass game and as a blitzer. He is a good tackler, but needs to work on tackling lower, not leaving his feet and wrapping up. Asamoah uses his above average athleticism to make plays, but needs to work on diagnosing quicker and being more disciplined and controlled. His athleticism helps him cover in the pass game, but he needs to play more heads up and work on his ball skills in order to provide even more value. He is a good block shedder and can work through the blockers on the second level well. Asamoah should provide immediate value for his NFL squad in a rotational role, with an opportunity to grow as a starter.
