Epenesa is one of my favorite players in this draft class. He has the ideal traits to become a star at the next level. He has a good first step off the line, but due to his overpowering strength off the edge he is able to get through the tackle and get pressure on the quarterback. Although he didn’t have the statistics and production of being an elite edge rusher, his film showed otherwise. He has the strength to bully the tackles off the edge.

Epenesa is one of the best edge rushers in this draft class, but he does lack a quick first step and speed off the edge, which shows on film. Epenesa is a truly good edge rusher but due to his low end speed off the edge and average athleticism he won’t have the juice to blow past tackles in the NFL.

Games Watched: Miami (OH) (2019), Michigan (2019), Nebraska (2019)

Epenesa, who currently holds the second spot in my edge rankings, has very solid film, but has found his stock drop recently. Epenesa is a very strong pass rusher with good awareness against the run, but doesn’t have the production to show for it. At the next level, Epenesa will likely be a stereotypical 4-3 edge rusher allowing him to pressure the quarterback as well as be ready for the run. If Epenesa can improve the speed of his first step, he has the ability to be a great edge rusher.

Best Fits: Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, New England Patriots
