The NFC West is the best and most exciting division in the NFL. They have the last 2 NFC champions, a team led by a perennial MVP candidate and a budding young team with an exciting future. The 49ers and Seahawks will battle each other for the division but the Rams and Cardinals will be no pushovers for any team. It may not be crazy to look at the standings at the end of the year and see all teams above .500 fighting for the playoffs. Look for this division to be settled on Week 17 when the Seahawks take on the defending NFC champs 49ers at Levi Stadium. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals really showed progress in the 2nd half of the season last year. Now they add Kenyan Drake for a whole year and All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. This offense behind Kyler Murray will be exciting to watch in year two. The defense which was not good last added rookie LB Isaiah Simmons and DT Jordan Phillips to bolster that defense alongside Chandler Jones, Patrick Peterson and Budda Baker. Season Prediction 8-8

Los Angeles Rams

Just two year removed from their Super Bowl loss to the Patriots this team is in for what looks like a rebuilding year. This past offseason they let go Todd Gurley, Cory Littleton and traded Brandin Cooks. There are some serious questions for the Rams this year. Can Goff return to his form from 2 years ago, who will fill Gurley’s spot and will that offensive line bounce back after a rough year last year? Coach Sean McVay should be able to scheme up points, but it won’t be enough in a tough division. Season Prediction 7-9

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks made a big splash just a couple weeks ago by trading for Safety Jamal Adams. He gives Seattle that playmaking safety they lost when Earl Thomas left in free agency. The strength of this team lies in the offense and their superstar QB Russel Wilson. He has plenty of weapons on the outside. The concern is both RBs Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny are coming back from injuries. Their first 3 games may be the hardest of any team in the league as they face the Falcons, Patriots and Cowboys. Season Prediction 11-5

San Francisco 49ers

The reigning NFC champs are looking to repeat but this time come home with the Lombardi trophy. The 49ers lost WR Emmanuel Sanders and to free agency and traded DT DeForest Buckner to the Colts but drafted WR Brandon Aiyuk and DT Javon Kinlaw in the 1st round to replace the veterans. The talent is there to make another long playoff run for the 49ers. They have a tough three game stretch in November with games against Seattle, Green Bay and New Orleans. Season Prediction 12-4
