NFC North Season W-L Predictions
The NFC North will be a two-team race between the Viking and Packers. The Lions will compete but not enough to win the division or get a wild card spot. The Bears are in a make or break year with Coach Matt Nagy and QB Mitchell Trubisky. There were some big moves each team made this offseason whether it was adding a veteran QB or trading the star WR. For as high powered the NFC South will be this division will not be lighting the scoreboard up. This division will come down to what QB can lead their team the best and that advantage goes to the Green Bay Packers.
Coach Matt Nagy is on the hot seat in Chicago just 2 years removed from winning 12 games. This season depends on the QB play of either Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles and the offense. The defense returns most of their players which ranked 4th in scoring last season. With their offensive woes and their tough schedule this team is going to struggle.
Season Prediction 4-12
The Lions season might have been different if Matthew Stafford would have stayed healthy for the whole year. He was in the middle of having a career year before getting injured in the middle of the season. The secondary is the real issue with this team and adding veteran safety Duron Harmon and rookie CB Jeff Okudah should help it out and adding veteran LB Jamie Collins to the defense will be beneficial as well. The offense will hope rookie RB D’Andre Swift and TE TJ Hockenson can give Stafford more options outside of Kenny Golladay.
Season Prediction 7-9
The Vikings are coming off a huge upset victory over the Saints in the playoffs last season. They did lose WR Stefon Diggs, DE Everson Griffen, CBs Trae Waynes, Xavier Rhodes, Mackensie Alexander and Offensive Coordinator Kevin Stefanski this offseason. But they did draft LSU WR Justin Jefferson and CB Jeff Gladney to replace the lost personnel. This team will play 4 of the hardest road games of any team this year having to face the Saints, Texans, Buccaneers, Packers and Seahawks on the road.
Season Prediction 9-7
Green Bay Packers
The Packers were one win away from reaching the Super Bowl and instead of improving their team they drafted their possible future QB in the 1st round. They boast one of the best QB RB WR trios in the league with Rodgers, Jones and Adams. But the rest of the offensive weapons are almost nonexistent. This defense is good at rushing the passer but stopping the run is where the issue is at. Last season they finished 18th in both yards allowed and yards gained.
Season Prediction 12-4
