Pac-12 Week 2 Preview
(13) Utah vs Northern Illinois
Zack Moss made himself known to the world last week running through BYU and will face an easier school to dismantle. The good offense and OUTSTANDING defense of the Utes will be too much for NIU to handle.
Colorado vs (25) Nebraska
This one should be very interesting to watch. Colorado beat CSU by a lot, but watching it was much closer than it should’ve been. CU needs to slow down Adrian Martinez and get the ball to Laviska Shenault successfully this week in order to have a chance to pull off the upset at home.
UCLA vs San Diego State
You would like to think that a Chip Kelly-led UCLA team could play SDSU without much of a struggle, but that simply won’t be the case. They’re a team with some young talent that really needs to produce well in order to put this game into the W column.
(22) Washington State vs Northern Colorado
Wazzu absolutely destroyed NMSU 58-7 last week and this UNC team is just so much worse than them, there’s not much mystery to what should happen during this game.
(14) Washington vs California
This game will count on Jacob Eason’s performance. The Washington defense lost a lot of talent, and the Cal offense is not very good. The matchup that will decide this game is the Washington offense vs the Evan Weaver-led Cal defense. Eason did very well last week and I think they will avoid the 12-10 upset from last year.
(23) Stanford @ Southern California
This game and much of USC’s schedule was decided as soon as JT Daniels got injured for the rest of the season. This week is going to be “The Battle of the Backups” as KJ Costello has also been ruled out of this matchup.
Arizona vs Northern Arizona
The Wildcats lost a very disappointing game two weeks ago against Hawaii, but the big thing for them is that Khalil Tate performed! He did it both through the air and on the ground like we had been asking him to do. Northern Arizona shouldn’t be a problem either way though.
Oregon State @ Hawaii
This is a fun midnight game to watch for sure. The Oregon State offense is much better than people will give them credit for. Cole McDonald would not stop turning the ball over and ended up getting benched against Arizona last week. This should be a pretty close game and I would recommend watching it if you find yourself up at midnight.
