Top 3 Players from the SEC (Offense)

Our third installment of a top prospects from a Power 5 conference brings us down south as we take a look at the SEC conference. The SEC is pretty widely regarded as the top conference in college football and they’re known for pushing out top talent.

Quarterbacks
Drew Lock – Missouri
Jarrett Stidham – Auburn
Nick Fitzgerald – Mississippi State
So this is basically Drew Lock and some other people. Despite Cowherd calling this the most Pro-Ready QB in the draft, Stidham probably won’t do much in the next level. Fitzgerald would probably make a good TE, maybe could see him being used in a Taysom Hill role.

Running Backs
Josh Jacobs – Alabama
Damien Harris – Alabama
Benny Snell Jr. – Kentucky
In a shocking turn of events, Alabama is putting out great running backs. Josh Jacobs is likely to be the only running back taken in the 1st round. Damien Harris is a very good and well-rounded running back who should be good in next level. Benny Snell Jr is a great prospect who has lost some of his hype, but could very well turn out to be the best back from this class.

Wide Receivers
AJ Brown – Ole Miss
DK Metcalf – Ole Miss
Deebo Samuel – South Carolina
Ole Miss putting out the best draft class since LSU produced Odell and Jarvis in the same year. While Metcalf is the most likely to be drafted first, due to being an insanely athletic freak, AJ Brown performed better than any of these three. Deebo is going to make whatever team that drafts him in the 2nd or 3rd rounds very happy, being able to line up and perform out of any position at WR

Tight Ends
Irv Smith Jr. – Alabama
Foster Moreau – LSU
Jace Sternberger – Texas A&M
Irv Smith Jr is a 2nd round target for multiple teams, being a great receiving threat out of the TE position. He showed to be a quick and skilled route-runner in college. Foster Moreau is by far the best blocker in this class, and also proved doubters wrong about being too slow and stiff for the NFL with a great NFL combine showing. Sternberger had a great 2018 season and probably could’ve shown to be a 1st round pick had he returned to A&M for another season.

Offensive Line
Jonah Williams – Alabama
Jawaan Taylor – Florida
Greg Little – Ole Miss
This was a fantastic offensive line class for the SEC. Having definitely the best 2 offensive line prospects and arugably the 3rd. Even past these 3 we see quality players like Elgton Jenkins and a guy I seem much higher on than others in Erik McCoy.
